Letters to New Leaders
Whether you are brand new to the program or a veteran 4-H Leader, the following "Letters to Leaders" will have something for you to take away. Each letter is specific to the different areas of the 4-H Program and gives a great overview of the club structure, county events, record book info, etc.

Listed here are "Letters to New Leaders" introducing, to you, the 4-H program and some resources that are available for your use:
Letter 1: Letter 1 - What is 4-H
Letter 2: Letter 2 - Getting Started with a 4-H Project Recruiting, Enrollment, dues, insurance, meetings and project materials are subjects covered in this issue.
Letter 3: Letter 3 - Planning and Conducting 4-H Club Meetings Setting goals and agendas, planning calendars, working with officers and committees, parent involvement and club activities are some of the subjects covered.
Letter 4: Letter 4 - Leadership and Training Techniques Leadership and Teaching Styles, tips for working with kids and "100 Ways to Say 'Very Good'"
Letter 5: Letter 5 - 4-H Activities Club activities, recognition activities ,4-H member divisions, county activities, sectional and state activities
Letter 6: Letter 6 - 4-H Records and Achievement Programs 4-H Record Books, incentives, awards, and achievement programs.
Letter 7: Letter 7 - Opportunities for 4-H Leaders Junior and Teen Leaders, opportunities at the county, sectional, state and national level, and resources for 4-H Leaders are discussed in the final letter of the series.
